Update: We've added some photos, take a look...
Located just a stone's
throw from the Royal Crescent, the Marlborough Tavern has provided
food and drink to visitors and residents of Bath since the 18th
century. Back then it was a popular stopping off point for weary
sedan chairmen in search of refreshment.
Today we serve much more than the local ales and
ciders that would have quenched their thirst (though you'll still
find them too).
Chef Richard Knighting has developed a tasty menu of
essentially English dishes with an emphasis on high quality local
and seasonal produce served with the minimum of fuss. Big flavoured,
unpretentious food; familiar but inventive.
You'll also find a cracking wine list prepared
by ex Fortnum & Mason' wine buyer Annette Deuce. Our philosophy
with wine is simple; to bring you great tasting wines at an affordable
price. Our list includes a full colour palette of rosés -
perfect for sipping in the terrace garden.
The Marlborough Tavern is open from 12pm, serving
lunch and dinner every day except Sunday evenings.
